Rowan-Cabarrus Community College’s Internet service provider, MCNC, is currently experiencing an internet outage due to a statewide service disruption. As a result, access to certain online services may be limited. Blackboard remains available for students to complete coursework. At this time, classes will continue to operate as normally scheduled. Employees should follow the direction of their supervisor for updates on their schedule today. Our Information Services team is actively working with the provider to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We understand the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience. We will provide updates as more information becomes available. Please check your email and the College’s website regularly for the latest information. Thank you for your understanding.

Blackboard Instructor Access

Overview:

Blackboard is our college's online learning management platform, designed to facilitate both taking and hosting online courses. It offers a variety of tools for assignments, video conferencing, discussion groups, tests, and more. Instructors can upload and organize content such as files, text, images, audio, and video using learning modules, folders, or lesson plans.

Availability:

Instructors may not immediately see the courses they are teaching for the upcoming semester in Blackboard. If you can log into Blackboard, it may take up to 30 hours from the time you are assigned as the instructor in Colleague until you see the course.

By default, if the course has been created in Blackboard and you are assigned in Colleague, you will be automatically enrolled within 60 days of the start date.
